I had the privilege of photographing my new niece a couple weeks ago. Isn't she beautiful!! I just loved all her fun girly bows, flowers & hats.

Spirit of Giving

Becky from Spirit of Giving asked me to do a photo shoot for her etsy site. She sells a lot of cute stuff, but mostly specializes in hooded towels. It was a lot of fun & quite interesting to try to get the kids to sit & model the towels for us. My 2 sons helped out in this venture. We thought we would just be using my younger son (Liam), but it turned out he didn't really have much sit in him. So we called in Owen & he pretty much followed all commands. This amazed me, because he is normally a little bit stubborn :) Check out her site to see a few more of the pictures & to shop for some adorable towels.

Hi all,

I know I have not updated my blog in a VERY long time. I've been super busy taking & editing pictures, that I haven't had much time to share. I will get to that! I have just recently uploaded quite a few pictures to my page on Facebook. Become a fan & then you can get updates when I load up new pictures. I tend to load more there than I do on this blog.

I also have been looking into cool new editing techniques. I found a great blog that has free actions for Photoshop, Photoshop Elements, & Lightroom. It's called Coffee Shop. If you edit your own photos at all you should check it out.

That's all for now. I'll be getting some pics here soon :)

One of my dearest friends moved out of state about a year ago. I miss her & her family like crazy!! It was so nice to see them when they came back to visit a few weeks ago. I was glad I got to meet their newest addition as well. Thanks guys for having me take your pictures!!!

Heidi M. asked me to photograph her products for her Color Me Cute etsy shop. She lined up 4 babies to come to my house to model her products. The babies were all so cute & they did so great. And aren't Heidi's bibs, splatmats, and blankets cute too?

So today I was excited I got all kinds of fun stuff. I went to a garage sale & got a cute basket for an infant session. I ordered a black back drop & stand & got those shipped to my house today. And Kristin dropped off my business cards, which turned out totally cute!! If you need any sort of graphic design work done, Kristin is the girl to call :)

So I realize it's been awhile since I posted. I'm in the process of upgrading software. And I just made the transition from a PC to a Mac. All of it is quite overwhelming to me :)

The Hardest Age to Photograph

Toddlers are notoriously hard to photograph. They have a mind of their own & they are not about to sit still. This is my son Owen who is now 2 years old. I took him to the library with the intention of getting some photographs of him with the books as a backdrop. Hmmm....didn't work so well :) Way too many distractions! So instead I captured these shot as we were leaving the library.
